Meet Our Staff

Scottie grew up locally in Draper and holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Virginia Tech. Prior to purchasing Northpoint Insurance Advisors IN 2017 (previously Carper Insurance), he worked in the high-tech industry with a Fortune 100 company and has experience dealing with a wide array of industries, including electricians, HVAC, production / manufacturing environments, and research and development centers. He is very involved in his community supporting local businesses with the Chamber of Commerce. He also serves as the Chairman of the Board for Pregnancy Resource Center – New River Valley which is a non-profit medical clinic for those facing unplanned pregnancy. He is also active in his church in Blacksburg.

Scottie works with new and existing business owners to find insurance and risk mitigation strategies to protect their business from losses. Scottie currently lives in Blacksburg VA with his wife, Billie, and three children. Occasionally you’ll find him on the golf course playing in fund raisers for the local non-profit organizations. His golf game isn’t what it used to be!

Kimberly joined Northpoint in 2022 and brings over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. She is a specialist in all facets of commercial insurance, offering expertise and guidance to clients seeking tailored coverage solutions.

A Salem native, Kimberly currently resides in Salem with her husband, Craig, of 20 years, and their teenage daughter, Gennavieve. They share their home with two cats, Halle and Hokie, who bring much joy to the family. Outside of work, Kimberly enjoys crafting, knitting, exercising, traveling, and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Marek is likely one of the first faces you’ll see when you walk into the Dublin office, but his impact extends far beyond just that. Since joining Northpoint in 2023, Marek has been providing exceptional service to customers across the New River Valley. A proud Pulaski native and Cougar alumnus, he now lives in Radford and serves clients throughout the region.

Marek has quickly advanced in his knowledge of insurance and is passionate about helping people protect their assets with affordable and quality coverage. As one of our service advisors, he not only assists clients but also educates those in the Pulaski and Dublin areas, helping them navigate the best carriers and coverages for their needs.

In his free time, Marek enjoys spending quality time with his friends and family. He’s drawn to his role at Northpoint because of his love for helping others and being part of a supportive team of coworkers who feel like family.

A native of Lynchburg, Nigel traveled across the Commonwealth and back to join the Northpoint team! What sets him apart isn’t just his humor, love of Legos, and iconic music—it’s also his academic background, with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a master’s degree in Christian Ministry from Liberty University. After three years in Richmond pursuing Christian ministries, Nigel made the decision to shift careers in 2023 and moved to the Roanoke Valley to focus on personal insurance lines.

Nigel stands out in service, applying his ministry skills—pastoring, offering guidance, and educating others—to help clients find the protection they need through insurance. He believes in providing personalized attention and care for each client, treating them as individuals who deserve the best service. One of the reasons he was drawn to Northpoint is the company’s strong commitment to serving customers while also investing in the community.

In his free time, Nigel enjoys reading, writing, playing video games, and attending trivia nights with his friends. He’s also especially fond of his loyal companion, Marvin, a lab/pointer mix who’s always by his side.

Ricky joined the Northpoint team in November 2022 and works primarily with our commercial lines of service. Originally from Harrisonburg, Ricky graduated from Roanoke College with a major in Physics and a minor in Computer Science and Mathematics. He now resides in Cave Spring, where he enjoys spending his free time playing board games with friends and hanging out with his housemate’s dog, Boudreaux, and their cat, Charlotte.

Ricky excels in his role at Northpoint, leveraging his computer science knowledge to master the software and streamline processes. He is dedicated to helping clients navigate their insurance questions and ensuring they have the best coverage to meet their needs.

A native of Christiansburg, Ann Marie joined Northpoint Insurance in March 2023, bringing with her a wealth of experience in childcare and customer service. She earned her Associate’s degree in Business from New River College in May 2022, providing her with a solid business foundation and a genuine passion for helping others.

With a background in the demanding service industry, Ann Marie is known for being a calm, welcoming, and supportive presence for customers. As one of the first voices you’ll hear when you reach out to Northpoint, she excels at offering clear, approachable information and ensuring a seamless experience. Whether she’s educating clients about insurance protection or lending a helping hand, Ann Marie’s nurturing and helpful nature shines through.

Her positive, cheerful attitude is rooted in the values she grew up with, inspired by both of her grandmothers—strong, dedicated, and caring women from the 1930s. Outside of work, Ann Marie enjoys line dancing, listening to country music, and staying active with HIIT workouts.

Eli lives in Blacksburg, where he is working towards his business degree at New River Community College. When he’s not hitting the books or working serving clients at Northpoint, he’s usually playing basketball, gaming or hanging out with his dog and spending quality time with family and friends. Balancing school, work and life keeps him busy, but he loves every minute of it!

Born and raised in West Virginia, Tullio has been a long-time resident of the New River Valley. A graduate of Radford University in the late 90s, he returned to the area from western North Carolina in 2003. While the majority of his experience lies in Christian conference management and non-profit church administration, Tullio’s deep investment in the New River Valley through education and service has created invaluable connections that directly benefit Northpoint customers, ensuring their needs are met with care and attention.

Since joining the Northpoint team, Tullio has been instrumental in building and leading teams at each of the company’s three locations, solidifying the company’s presence in the region—from Roanoke and Salem to Dublin and Pulaski. His leadership continues to drive the company’s commitment to investing in the community and providing dependable protection for customers’ assets.

In addition to his role at Northpoint, Tullio serves as a pastor at DPNRV, where he creatively uses confetti to demonstrate God’s love in every opportunity. He is also actively involved in community service, ministering to adults with disabilities and contributing to organizations like the Agape Center NRV. Tullio serves on the boards for Young Life NRV and Feeding Southwest Virginia. His passion for his relationship with Christ, his faith, and his adult children—Liam, Ann Marie, and Brennan—who bring him immense joy, remain central to his life.

Dan graduated from Virginia Tech in 1971 with a B.S. Degree in Business Education. After teaching various business subjects at Dublin High School in Dublin, VA for four years, Dan entered the Insurance Business as a Life & Health Insurance Agent. He became a sales manager in April 1977 with a National Company. On March 1, 1979 Dan founded Carper Insurance Agency as an Independent Agent selling Life, Health and Property and Casualty Insurance from his home in Christiansburg, VA. Dan moved his office to downtown Blacksburg on August 1, 1980; and, then relocated to its current location on January 1, 1997. On September 1, 2017, Dan sold Carper Insurance to Scottie Wyatt and has remained active in the agency on a part-time basis. Dan and his wife, Pam have two children, seven grandchildren and live in Blacksburg.
